About

ree

Hey! I’m Amy, the heart behind Life Between the Trails. I’m a nature-loving, adventure-chasing mum of two feisty, fearless girls who’ve been raised on muddy boots, marshmallows by the fire, and endless exploring. Alongside my husband (the calm to our chaos) and our lovable beagle, we’re all about making memories outdoors.

Whether we’re hiking through forests, pitching our camper under the stars, kayaking across peaceful lakes, or diving into open water swims – if it gets us outside, we’re in. We’ve always made sure the girls grew up loving the outdoors, and now there’s no stopping them.

Getting our campervan has

opened the door to even more travel and freedom, from weekend escapes to sunny adventures abroad. But it’s not all wild trails – we also love a good family day out, exploring places of interest, and of course, finding that perfect pint and pub meal at the end of a long walk.

We’re here to share our adventures, recommend great spots, and hopefully inspire your own family journeys – wherever your trail takes you.

Games for the pub? Tissues? Always tissues. Are the electrics charged? Do the kids have things to keep them busy on the journey? Did we pack the extension leads? Is the...

Stepping Outside My Comfort Zone
Launching Life Between the Trails Nature-Based Wellbeing Sessions. Over the past few months, Life Between the Trails has quietly been growing into something I never originally imagined it would become. What started as a way for me to reflect on the importance of slowing down and spending time in nature has gradually led me to a place where I’m now preparing to run my first nature-based wellbeing sessions here in Alsager. If I’m honest, it feels both exciting and a little terrifying. Because...

Explore Nature with Kids Nature Bug Magnifier
There’s something magical about watching a tiny bug crawl across a leaf or a beetle scuttle under a rock. It’s like stepping into a secret world that’s right outside our door. I’ve found that using a kids nature bug magnifier opens up this hidden universe in a way that’s both fun and educational. It’s a simple tool, but it sparks curiosity and wonder in children and adults alike. Today, I want to share how these little gadgets can transform your family’s outdoor adventures and deepen your...
